Following the tracks of his sire Gribaldi

Grey Flanell impresses with his talent for collection and his natural cadence. In 2014, he triumphed as the best four-year old stallion at the Pavo Cup, won competitions for young dressage horses, and qualified for the German Championships. Since then, he has won dressage competitions up to Inter I.

Grey Flanell, one of the most striking stallions among the younger dressage sires, has already produced several licensed sons. His offspring win numerous competitions for young riding and dressage horses and, like his foals, are sold at top prices at auctions.

His sire Gribaldi was Trakehner Champion Stallion, victorious at Grand-Prix level with Edward Gal/NED and Trakehner Stallion of the Year in 2008. In the Netherlands, he was honoured with the top predicate “preferent” and led the WBFSH world ranking of the best dressage sires in the world in 2014. Among his offspring are the World Cup winner Painted Black I/Anky van Grunsven/NED, the Grand Prix winners Sisther de Jeu/Edward Gal/NED, Peter Pan/Beatriz Ferrer-Salat/ESP, Pasternak/Coby van Baalen/NED, Girasol/Nadine Capellmann and last but not least our three-time World Champion, two-time European Champion and World Cup winner Totilas.

The dam sire Clavecimbel, who was successful at Grand-Prix level produced, amongst others, the well-known sire Havidoff.

The grand dam Janoeska was successful in show-jumping classes up to advanced (S) level and the great grand dam Zanoeska was successful in both dressage and show jumping classes up to advanced (S) level.

Ferro, who appears in the third generation, won three championship silver medals. With Coby van Baalen/NED, he was part of the Dutch team that was placed second at the 1998 World Equestrian Games in Rome/ITA, at the 1999 European Championships in Arnhem/NED and at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney/AUS. Furthermore, he was placed second in the World Cup final in ‘s-Hertogenbosch/NED. He has produced 8 licensed stallions, including Rousseau, Negro, Metall and Rhodium. In the Netherlands, he received the predicate “keur”.

The Holstein stallion Farn, who is popular in the Netherlands and made a name for himself there through his son Nimmerdor, follows in Grey Flanell’s pedigree.

The pedigree is rounded off with the Trakehner Dorunto who evolved in the Netherlands into a world class producer, having sired, amongst others, Ideaal/Johann Hinnemann and several Olympic dressage horses.
