The record of success of Baloutaire PS and his rider Philip Rüping is now huge with numerous victories and placings in Grand Prix and World Ranking list show jumping competitions up to 1.55m in Zuidwolde/NED, Leeuwaarden/NED, Riesenbeck/GER, Herning/DEN, Prague/CZE and Münster/GER.
In terms of breeding, Baloutaire PS, who stood at stud for the first time in 2019, also made headlines with his promising foals. From his first generations of offspring, he has produced his first licensed stallions, including the Austrian Warmblood Reserve Champion Baloucord.
The pedigree of Baloutaire PS combines the absolute elite of the world's best show jumping stallions, starting with his sire Balou du Rouet. Himself successful in 1.40m show jumping competitions, he sired Baloutinue/Laura Kraut/USA, Olympic team silver medallist, Bianca/Steve Guerdat/SUI, bronze medallist at the World and European Championships and eighth in the World Cup, Saura de Fondcombe/Nadja Peter Steiner/SUI, team third at the European Championships, as well as Corouet/Sarah Bullimore/GBR, individual bronze medallist at the European Eventing Championships. He is not only by far the most successful son of his famous sire, the Olympic champion and three-time World Cup winner Baloubet du Rouet, but also counts once again among the world's best show jumping and eventing sires according to the WBFSH ranking.
His dam’s sire Chacco-Blue was third in the Grand-Prix in Aachen, won the Grand Prix in Neumünster and is again placed first in the success statistics of the WBFSH World Breeding Federation - and this for six years now. From a breeding perspective, the elite stallion produced Explosion W/Ben Maher/GBR, Olympic Champion, individual silver and team bronze medallist at the European Championships and Global Champions Tour winner, Chanyon/Daisuke Fukushima/JPN, placed sixth at the Olympics, Chaqui Z/Shane Sweetnam/IRL, European Team Champion, and Chacon/Eoin McMahon/IRL, placed second in the Nations Cup final, amongst others. Chacco-Blue has produced the most offspring at almost all championships.
His grand-dam Nema produced Stakalite (by Stakkatol), who was successful in 1.50m show jumping competitions. Her son Chacoon’s Nevo PS (by Chacoon Blue)/Christopher Burton/AUS was successful at the World Championships for young show jumping horses (5y.o.).
Voltaire, following in the third generation, achieved numerous international triumphs with Jos Lansink/BEL. In 1989, he finished his show jumping career with a victory in the Berlin Grand Prix and second place in the Leeuwarden/NED Grand Prix. Thanks to the success of his offspring, such as Finesse, Play it Again, Altaire, Concorde, Dante, Especiale, Helios, Kahlua, Kannan, Limmetair and Lexicon, Voltaire is considered as a "Chef de Race" in France and has always held a top position amongst the sires worldwide.
Quidam de Revel, who appears in the fourth generation, won Team bronze at the Olympic Games in Barcelona/ESP with Hervé Godignon/FRA in 1992 and finished fourth in the individual ranking. From 1993, ridden by Thomas Velin/DEN, he won the Grand Prix in Hanover and finished fifth in the World Cup in Helsinki/FIN. With his offspring, he has set standards and is considered in his home country, France, as a "Chef de Race Mondial", just like his grand-sire Almé and his sire Jalisco B.
The dam line of Baloutaire PS is of French origin. The mare family 94 produced stallions such as Belphegor IV, Fair Play III, Lyndon and Veneur du Prêlet and the Olympic Champion in London/GBR in 2012, Nino des Buissonnets with Steve Guerdat/SUI.
