Contino-Quick PS’s foals impress with beautiful type, correct foundations, strong backs, a lot of power and fantastic canters.
Contino-Quick PS showed his ability for the high level in 2020 by winning the bronze medal at the German Championships for five-year-old show jumping horses. Ridden by Eiken Sato/JPN, this show jumper with the ideal manner, received 9.0 for the first round of the final and 8.8 for the second. He was clear in every round of the championships in Warendorf.
Since then, Contino-Quick PS has followed the same path and proved his outstanding ability paired with the best technique, in the international show jumping competitions of Hagen a.T.W./GER, Riesenbeck/GER, Kronenberg/NED and Ommen/NED and also took part in the final of the show jumping World Championships in Lanaken/BEL.
His sire Contendro I was one of the world's best show jumping and eventing sires according to the WBFSH ranking. He produced over 70 licensed stallions and over 350 offspring who are successful at high level. The prize money of his offspring registered in Germany alone amounts to 7.9 million euros. The main contributors are Codex One/Christian Ahlmann, Conthendrix/Andre Thieme, Queen Mary/Jan Wernke and fischerChipmunk FRH/Michael Jung/GER, who was World Champion by team and placed fourth individually in 2022 in Pratonie del Vivaro/ITA, was placed fourth by team and eighth individually at the Olympic Games in Tokyo/JPN in 2021, and was European Eventing Champion and European Championship individual silver medallist in 2019 in Luhmühlen/GER.
His dam Castina was placed in competitions for young show jumping horses. She produced six other international show jumping horses: Diarca PS (by Diarado)/Cindy van der Straten/NED and Marlon Modolo Zanotelli/BRA, SD Chamaco (by Chacco-Blue; 1.50m show jumping), Constanze (by Contefino; 1.40m show jumping), Cardhu (by Diarado; 1.40m show jumping), Dear Nahla (by Diarado; 1.40m show jumping) and Diamond’s Star PS (by Elvis ter Putte; 1.35m show jumping).
His grand-sire Carinue, himself a son of the fantastic Carthago, was placed in 1.40m show jumping competitions. Two of his sons have been licensed, including Cartaro/Marlon Modolo Zanotelli/BRA, who was placed in 1.55m show jumping competitions. In sport, over 30 of his offspring have been successful in international show jumping competitions up to 1.60m, above all the German Championship bronze medallist Carinou, Carilot/both ridden by Ludger Beerbaum, Carquilot/Nicolas Pizarro/MEX, Cargana/Theo Muff/SUI and Clenur/Marco Kutscher among others.
His grand-dam Golden Star also produced several horses for international courses. Cha Cha Cha (by Chacco-Blue) participated in the 2019 World Cup Final in Gothenburg/SWE, won the Grand Prix of Valencia/ESP and the show jumping World Cup of Sharjah/UAE. Tailormade Chloé Star PS (by Conthargos) competed in Grand Prix with Karin Martinsen/SWE. Also internationally successful are Cormick (by Cormint)/Max-Hilmar Borchert, Tailormade La Golda Z (by Lawito), Capitale (by Carthago) and Cartoon’s Star (by Cartoon). Golden Star’s daughter Corstara (by Cornet’s Stern) produced the AES licensed stallion and internationally successful Cornet Blue PS (by Chacco-Blue). Golden Star’s daughter Golden Pearl (by Carthago) produced the two 1.55m show jumping horses Sagolda (by Sandro Boy)/Nicole Persson/SWE and Zanvago (by Sanvaro), as well as nine other show jumping horses who competed up to 1.45m.
His great-grand-sire is Quick Star. He contributed to his rider Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum's breakthrough in international show jumping sport with victories in the Grand Prix of Palm Beach/USA, Maastricht/NED, Mannheim/GER and Munich/GER. The Selle Francais stallion by Galoubet-Nithard x lived on through his offspring, led by Stella/Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum/GER, Quick Study/Lauren Hough/USA, Orient Express/Patrice Delaveau/FRA and Vleut/ Maikel van der Vleuten/NED and Edwina Tops-Alexander/AUS.
His great-grand-dam Goldprobe produced three exceptional horses: Classico by ZYX (by Classiker), Prime Time (by Philister) and Chaccorit (by Chacco-Blue).
Hanoverian line of Weissenburg, from which descend numerous international show jumping horses and stallions, such as Cornet Blue (by Chacco-Blue), Couture (by Conthargos) and Lambado (by Lando).
