“Presents himself in a superior manner, master of the situation, always in control. An outstanding dressage horse. With huge elasticity in movement. With as much natural self-carriage as one could wish for. A stallion that we can imagine very well competing at the next championships. He comes from the very successful Oldenburg breeder von Merveldt from Vechta," said Breeding Director Bernhard Thoben in praise of our new stallion Value, who was ranked Id in the premium ring of the 2021 Oldenburg Stallion Days.
His sire Valverde was Westphalian Champion and Vice German Champion as a four-year-old, was placed fourth in the final of the World Championships and won the German Championships as a five-year-old, and came fourth in the final of the German Championships as a six-year-old. As a seven-year-old, ridden by Yara Reichert, he won a series of international advanced (S) level competitions for young dressage horses and came eleventh in the final of the World Championships for young dressage horses in Verden. Several sons were licensed from Valverde's first generation of stallions. His offspring are also off to a promising start under saddle.
His dam St.Pr./El.St. Floris Laetizia is the half sister of Finest Selection OLD (by Follow Me), who is a licensed stallion and German Champion.
His dam's sire Floriscount was the dressage winner of his stallion performance test in 2008 and came second overall in Schlieckau (10 from the test rider), went on to win tests for young dressage horses including the qualification for the German Championships and finished second in the Burg Cup Final in 2014 with Oliver Oelrich. He was also named VTV dressage stallion of the year in Oldenburg. Ridden by his breeder’s daughter, Patricia von Merveldt, he was victorious in Grand Prix competitions. 20 of his sons have been licensed, including Ferdinand/Kim Pfeiffer/GER, who was placed in Grand Prix.
His grand-dam St.Pr./El.St. Laetizia also produced Filareté (by Follow Me), who was placed in intermediate (M) level competitions for young dressage horses.
The line founders Lauries Crusador xx and Donnerhall appear in the third and fourth generations of his pedigree.
His great-grand-dam Dubarry produced the Inter I level dressage horses Laudon and Lexus (both by Lauries Crusador xx). Her full brother Dubloon and her half brother Lago Casablanca (by Lauries Crusador xx) were licensed stallions and Dubloon was successful in para-equestrian sport for Great-Britain.
The licensed stallions Ducati (by Desperados), Radetzky van’t Heike (by Diarado), Chicago City (by Carthago), Fürstenhof (by Fürst Garndios), Fletcher (by Fürst Grandios), Slangerupgaards Flottenheimer (by Franklin) and a son of Vivaldi also descend from the Hanoverian line of Aricia.
His dam is the half sister of the German Champion Finest Selection OLD
