The Champion Stallion Viva Vitalis won his very first competition at the young horse show in Moritzburg with Linda Casper. He received the score of 9.0 for his canter, walk and conformation. At his stallion performance test in Schlieckau in 2021, our Champion Stallion performed fantastically: with a final score of 8.62, he was the third best stallion in a strong field. Viva Vitalis impressed above all with his quality paces (8.5 for walk, 8.0 for trot, 9.5 for canter), his good rideability (8.5) and his overall impression (9.0).
This outstanding performance is no coincidence. Viva Vitalis combines the well-proven genetics of our Burg Cup winner and top-class sire Vitalis with those of the fabulous mare family of Gesina.
In 2023, Viva Vitalis will present his first crop of foals.
His sire Vitalis was Reserve Champion of the NRW licensing in 2009, winner of the dressage index of his stallion performance test in 2010, placed at the World Championships and Pavo Cup final in 2012, Champion in the USA and again qualified for the World Championships with a record number of points in 2013 and victorious in the International Small Tour at only seven years old in 2014. He came back to Germany and, in 2016, won the Burg Cup final in Frankfurt and the "Stallion of the year" competition at Inter I level at the World Championships in Ermelo/NED. He has produced almost 70 licensed stallions. Thanks to his offspring who are successful in Grand Prix, including Vamos Amigos/Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour/DEN, team World Champion, double individual Vice World Champion, and placed second in the World Cup, First-Step Valentin/Larissa Pauluis/BEL, participant in the World Championships, Valencia AS/Fabienne Müller-Lütkemeier, who came second in the Louisdor Prize final, and Valesco/Fabienne Müller-Lütkemeier, who won the Grand Prix in Aachen and the Otto-Lörke Prize, as well as Valparaiso/Laura Strobel, who came third in Achleiten, Vitalis is already placed eleventh in the WBFSH ranking of the world's best dressage sires.
His dam Furtherance is a full sister of For Romance I OLD, Oldenburg Champion Stallion, Main Premium winner, Burg Cup finalist, VTV dressage stallion and successful in Grand Prix, For Romance II, who is placed in international competitions, For Romance III de la Gesse, licensed stallion, and Fasine OLD, Oldenburg Champion Mare, German Champion and P.S.I record top price, who produced the licensed stallion Fasino (by Foundation), and the mare A la Fasine (by Apache), dam of the licensed stallions HP Valentino and Vincello (both by Vitalis). His dam's sire Fürst Romancier was fourth at the World Championships for young dressage horses and the German Championships, received the Ia main premium and has produced over 30 licensed stallions.
Through the third sire Sir Donnerhall I and the fourth sire Don Schufro, there is interesting line breeding to the sire of the century Donnerhall and the no less significant half-blood Sandro in the previous generations of Viva Vitalis’ pedigree.
His great-grand-dam Gesine also produced the Reserve Champion Vivaldi’s Schufro (by Vivaldi) and Amadeus de l’Aubois (by Der Designer), who sired in France. Her daughter Sadira de Malleret (by Sir Donnerhall I) produced Helen Langehanenberg’s mare, who is victorious in international Small Tour, Zaeta de Malleret (by Zonik).
The famous stallion Voltaire also descends from this bloodline.
