Sebastino PS

An outstanding dressage horse. Sebastino PS has great elasticity, a hind leg that is always active even on curved lines and a lot of natural cadence. He passed his short test in Vechta with correspondingly high scores: 9.5 for canter, 9.0 for trot and willingness to perform, 8.8 for rideability and 7.9 for walk. With an overall score of 8.82, he was Reserve Champion against a strong field of candidates. With Sebastino PS, the world champion genetics of the paternal lines of Secret, Sezuan and Zack meet one of the most successful mare lines of all, the line of our El.St. Gesina.   

His sire Secret, himself a son of the triple World Champion and international winner up to Inter I, Sezuan, was the winner of his 14-day test, Vice German Champion in 2017, Vice World Champion in 2019 and German Champion in 2020. He has produced almost 40 licensed stallions, including several champion and premium stallions. At the German Championships, Secret produced the Champion, San to Alati, the silver medallists Segantini and Sézane as well as the placed finalists San Escobar OLD, Sedamo K, So Dynamic and Best Sercet OLD.

His dam Vesina PS is the half sister of ten licensed stallions, including For Romance I OLD, Oldenburg Champion Stallion, Main Premium winner, Burg Cup finalist, VTV Dressage Stallion and successful in Grand Prix, For Romance II, premium stallion and placed in international competitions (both by Fürst Romancier) as well as the two other Champion Stallions Feinrich (by Fürst Heinrich) and Viva Romance PS (by Vivino) and Golden Romance de Malleret PS (by Governor)/Helen Langehanenberg, who is victorious at advanced (S) level. Her half sister Fasine OLD (by Fürst Romancier) was Oldenburg Champion Mare, German Champion, P.S.I record top price and successful up to Inter II level competitions. In breeding, Fasine produced the licensed stallion Fasino (by Foundation) and the mare A la Fasine (by Apache) who produced the licensed stallion HP Valentino (by Vitalis). Vesina’s half sister, Fürstin Gesine (by Fürst Heinrich), was also Oldenburg Champion Mare and produced the licensed stallions Visino PS (by Vitalis) and Montrachtet PS (by Morricone I). Her half sister Furtherance (by Fürst Romancier) produced the two licensed stallions Go For Romance PS (by Governor) and Viva Vitalis (by Vitalis), who was Champion Stallion. Vesina PS is also the half sister of Mount St. John Best of All (by Bordeaux), British Dressage Champion and placed up to Small Tour level, who is also the dam of Best of Mount St. John OLD (by Fürst Romancier), Vice Regional Champion and placed fifth at the German Championships and a licensed stallion by Quantensprung.

His dam's sire Vivaldi was Reserve Champion of his stallion performance test in the Netherlands, won the Pavo Cup (5y.o.) in 2007 and in 2008 and 2009, ridden by Hans Peter Minderhoud/NED, he won the KNHS/KWPN stallion competition, where he was awarded 10 for his trot. He was then internationally successful up to Prix St. Georges. In 2013, he won the VHO trophy at the KWPN licensing. After that, he was predominantly used for breeding and Vivaldi produced numerous exceptional stallions, including our Burg Cup winner and outstanding sire Vitalis.

Through the dam sires Sir Donnerhall I and Don Schufro, there is interesting line breeding to the sire of the century Donnerhall and the no less significant half-blood Sandro in the previous generations of Sebastino PS pedigree.

His grand-dam Gesine also produced the Reserve Champion Vivaldi’s Schufro (by Vivaldi).

The famous stallion Voltaire also descends from this bloodline.
