Genetic rarity: Direct son of For Pleasure

This direct son of the great For Pleasure is a very special performance stallion. This is also reflected in his exemplary jumping abilities. In 2019, For Cassius was called to the premium ring at the Mecklenburg licensing. At his stallion performance test in 2021 in Adelheidsdorf, he once again impressed with his athletic manner and his seemingly limitless abilities.

His sire For Pleasure was already a legend during his lifetime. With Lars Nieberg and later Marcus Ehning, he won two Olympic team gold medals in Atlanta/USA and in Sydney/AUS as well as three times team gold at the European Championships in Mannheim/GER, Hickstead/GBR and Donaueschingen/GER. And then there are the individual successes, above all the bronze medal at the European Championships, double gold at the German Championships, a second place in the World Cup final and in the Riders Tour, to only list his major results. When For Pleasure retired in 2006 in Aachen, he had won over 1.8 million Euros. He also knew how to shine on the breeding stage. Already in 2003, he was at the top of the WBFSH ranking of the world's best show jumping sires. For Pleasure’s offspring were always amongst the best, such as Fit For Fun, placed second in Aachen and Calgary with Luciana Diniz/POR, Funky Fred, winner in Barcelona with Marcus Ehning/GER, Epleaser van’t Heike, winner of the 1.55m Aachen-Münchener Prize with Christian Ahlmann/GER, Hello Forever, winner in London with Scott Brash/GBR and Flora de Mariposa, winner in La Baule with Pénélope Leprévost/FRA, amongst others. In Germany alone, over 60 sons of For Pleasure have been licensed, including Forsyth FRH who was successful with Toni Haßmann and produced, amongst others, the Olympic bronze medallist Fine Lady with Eric Lamaze/CAN.

His dam Cathleen is the half sister of Markus Brinkmann’s CSI5* show jumping horse Pikeur Dylon (by Diamant de Semilly).

His dam's sire Cassini I was successful in show jumping with Franke Sloothaak/GER. He won the Grand Prix in Arnheim/NED and the Nations Cup in Aachen/GER. In Germany, over 70 of his sons were approved for breeding. The prize money of his offspring amounts to over five million Euros.

The Holstein performance sires Carry and Landgraf appear in the third and fourth generations of his pedigree.

His great-grand-dam Zuerich IV produced the licensed stallion Cordano (by Capitol I) and Nisse Lüneburg’s double Derby winner Calle Cool (by Concerto II).

Out of the Holstein line 18 A 1, from which descend numerous licensed stallions, such as Quvee Prestige (by Quidam de Revel), For Ever G (by For Pleasure), Littlefield (by Loutano), Acolino (by Acorado I), Centauer Z (by Capitol I) and top show jumping horses.
