Totilas x Weihegold!
“This was a Wow test”, Christoph Hess started his commentary on the final victory of Total Hope OLD in the Burg Cup in Frankfurt. “A real revelation, pure potential for collection - at 7 years old! This horse has an aura, a charisma, you can already see the possible future of this prospect Total Hope. A jewel, an equestrian caviar bite that couldn't be better, who has been incredibly well presented. These pirouettes and flying changes, unbelievable to see in the silhouette, a horse can hardly jump higher in flying change. A round of applause! He takes the first place!” Previously, the Swedish licensing winner, dressage champion and finalist at the World Championships for young dressage horses (6 y.o.) had won bronze at the World Championships for seven-year-old dressage horses with Isabel Freese/NOR. His outstanding foals know how to move with a maximum of elasticity and ground-cover.
Total Hope OLD is the result of the crossing between the best mare in the world and the best stallion in the world. His sire Totilas won double gold at the European Championships in Windsor/GBR in 2009 and triple gold at the World Equestrian Games in Lexington/USA in 2010. Furthermore, he was unbeatable at the World Cup Final in 2010 in 's-Hertogenbosch/NED and achieved numerous world record scores. For breeding, he produced the Pavo-Cup winner Glock's Total U.S./Edward Gal, Glock's Toto Jr., the double Vice World Champion of young dressage horses Governor-STR/Adelinde Cornelissen/NED, and the Baden-Württemberg Champion and Inter II winner Topas/Nicole Casper.
His dam Weihegold OLD was Oldenburg Champion Mare, winner of the Burg Cup and Louisdor-Prize and, ridden by Isabell Werth, Olympic Gold medallist, triple World Cup winner and triple European Champion. She also produced the licensed stallion Sir Weihbach (by Sir Donnerhall I). Her daughters have also produced licensed stallions. St.Pr.St. Weihcine (by Fürst Heinrich) produced the Oldenburg Reserve Champion Dodo Weihgand (by Diamond Hit), St.Pr.St. Weihcera Royal NG (by Zack), victorious at advanced (S) level, produced the licensed stallion For Gold (by Franziskus), St.Pr.St. Fürstin Weihe (by Fürst Romancier) produced the licensed stallion Damon Gold (by Damon Hill) and Weihronce (by For Romance I) produced the licensed stallion Viva Gold (by Vivaldi). Weihegold's son Jewels Sir Weibach (by Sir Donnerhall I) is successful up to Inter I with Tristan Tucker/AUS.
Weihegold OLD is by Don Schufro, who led the German dressage breeding valuation for years, was internationally victorious up to Grand Prix level and won the bronze medal in Hong Kong/HKG with the Danish team in 2008.
The grand-dam St.Pr./El.St. Weihevoll has produced an advanced (S) level dressage horse and Total Recall (by Totilas), price highlight of 200,000 euros at the Vechta auction and placed in advanced (S) level dressage classes with Matthias Alexander Rath.
His great-grand-sire Sandro Hit was World Champion and German Champion. His is considered a foundation stallion of modern dressage breeding.
Through the legendary sires Figaro and Vollkorn xx, the maternal roots lead to the Oldenburg mare family Weissena (by Folkert-Goldengel etc.), from which come the licensed stallions Lux Dressage Statesman OLD by Stedinger, Inselfürst by Inschallah AA, Canaster I and II by Caprimond as well as Triumphator and Top of Class by Titus.
