His offspring have dominated the Grand Prix competitions right from the start
Totilas' first offspring have arrived in the Grand Prix arenas - and they have also set completely new standards, as they have inherited their sire's unique ability to collect and willingness to perform. The best example is our stallion Total Hope OLD, who debuted with a series of wins in Grand Prix competitions as an eight-year-old with Isabel Freese/NOR, after winning the Burg Cup in 2019 with almost 80 percent and the second highest result ever achieved in this prestigious series for young dressage horses, and also securing the bronze medal at the World Championships for young dressage horses. Glock's Toto Jr. N.O.P. won the Dutch Dressage Championships with Edward Gal/NED with scores of over 80 percent in the Grand Prix Special and over 86 percent in the Freestyle. Birkhof's Topas FBW also collected his first ribbons at high-profile competitions with Nicole Casper. Top Gear OLD/Isabel Freese/NOR, placed fourth in the Burg Cup, Governor-STR/Adelinde Cornelissen/NED, double Vice World Champion of young dressage horses as well as Go Legend/Marlies van Baalen/NED, Gladiator/Stephanie de Frel/NED and Genuine/Marijke van Giesen/NED are also in the starting blocks, to mention just a few.
Total Recall, the most expensive foal of all times, sold for 200,000 Euros, has already won international competitions with Matthias Alexander Rath. Total Ideal cost 105.000 Euros and Tout le Monde cost 90.000 Euros at the Vechta auctions. In 2019, Totilas also produced the Champion Filly at the German Foal Championships in Lienen. True Love OLD was second Reserve Champion Mare of Oldenburg, German Vice Champion and is successful up to St. Georges with Matthias Alexander Rath.
In Germany alone, Totilas has produced 28 licensed stallions and 36 premium mares.
Three world records and three gold medals at the World Equestrian Games – Totilas can only be described with superlatives. With his performances in the dressage arena, he has touched people far beyond the sport of dressage and ensured a previously unknown popularity.
In December 2020, Totilas died completely unexpectedly at the age of 20 due to colic.
His sire Gribaldi was Trakehner Champion Stallion, victorious at Grand Prix level with Edward Gal/NED and Trakehner Stallion of the Year in 2008.
A Legend of his own!
