The OS Show Jumping Champion and 2nd Reserve Champion of his stallion performance test
After his acclaimed victory at the licensing of the Oldenburg Show Jumping Breeding Association (OS), Conthalou completed his 50-day test in Adelheidsdorf with expected highlights for his jumping manner (9.0), scope (9.0), willingness to perform (9.5), rideability (9.0), temperament (9.25) and overall impression (9.0). With a total score of 8.86, he was only narrowly beaten in the strong field of 35 candidates and finished as second Reserve Champion of his stallion performance test.
We are eagerly awaiting his first crop of foals.
His sire Conthargos, who also stands at our stud, has produced numerous top sport horses, including Concona/Ben Maher/GBR, Nations Cup winner, Conthinder/Andrzej Oplatek/POL, Champion in Salzburg/AUT, as well as Conbelleza/Simon Delestre/FRA, Pia Contra/Nicolas Pizarro/MEX, Conbalou/Gert-Jan Bruggink/NED and Coolivio PS/Greg Boderick/IRL, winner of the Irish Breeders Classics.
His grand-dam Chaccos-Lüd is the half-sister of an OS Premium Stallion by Los Angeles and the full sister of the two premium stallions Chacco’s Son I and II (both by Chacco-Blue). In 2018 and 2019, Chacco's Son I was part of the victorious German Nations' Cup team at the CHIO in Aachen with Maurice Tebbel. In 2015, Chacco's Son II was winner of the Oldenburg main premium and the two following years, competed in the final of the German Championships. Chacco's-Lüd produced Corydon van T&L (by Cornado NRW)/Frederic Vernaet/BEL, OS Reserve Champion and successful in 1.40m show jumping competitions, and the stallion For Chacco TN (by For Pleasure).
Our performance sires Balou du Rouet and Chacco-Blue appear in the next generations and secure the pedigree of Conthalou in the most excellent way.
Balou du Rouet, successful at high level in show jumping, sired Bianca/Steve Guerdat/SUI, team bronze medallist at the World Championships and the European Championships, as well as Saura de Fondcombe/Nadja Peter Steiner/SUI, placed eighth at the World Cup and team third at the European Championships. He is not only by far the most successful son of his famous sire, the Olympic champion and three-time World Cup winner Baloubet du Rouet, but also appears once again amongst the top 15 and top 12 of the world's best show jumping sires and eventing sires according to the WBFSH ranking.
Chacco-Blue was third in the Grand Prix in Aachen, won the Grand Prix in Neumünster and has led the WBFSH ranking since 2017. At the European Championships in 2019 in Rotterdam/NED, his son Explosion W/Ben Maher/GBR won individual silver and team bronze. Eight of his offspring took part in the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon/USA. In 2017, Chaqui Z/Shane Sweetnam won team gold at the European Championships in Gothenburg/SWE. Almost 50 of his sons have been licensed.
The licensed stallions Power Light/Alois Pollmann-Schweckhorst, Cessna, Durex and Amantino as well as the sport horses Whoopy/Jan Sprehe, Mya Mercedes/Stefan Engbers, Let’s Fly/Erik Kunze and Baldobes/Roberto Prevital/ITA descend from this line.
