Performance test winner and champion of Dobrock
A modern Holstein stallion who meets the gold
standard: Castino is convincing with all
the features of a great show jumper and an impressive elasticity of movement.
At only four years of age, he won the show jumping Championships at the
traditional Dobrock show and met the high expectations of his elite pedigree.
In 2011 he qualified easily for the Bundeschampionship and since then has won classes up to intermediate (M) level. At
his stallion performance test he was one of the top stallions. There he
received a score of 10.0 for free jumping and the jumping-course, 9.0 for
character and willingness to perform as well a 9.58 for his jumping ability.
His offspring are convincing, built for sport and with
maximum elasticity. His foals have received premiums in several breeding areas.
In 2013 the first two sons of Castino were licensed and Cascalido became a
premium stallion in Verden and was sold to the State Stud at Celle. His sire,
Cassini II, has progeny that have accumulated lifetime earnings of almost
710.000 Euro. His dam sire Caretino is a millionaire several times over from
his progeny’s winnings and he has produced top horse after top horse. Castino's
dam, O-Caretina, received a 10.0 for free-jumping in her mare performance test.
Castino's full brother Carino qualified for the World Cup final and Canzero is
an approved stallion with an excellent competition record in show jumping.
Another full sister was Champion Mare in her field test in 2009. With the
part-bred Kilian, the Landgraf I- son Lombard and the Olympian Montevideo, the
pedigree of Castino contains interesting and highly dependable genes. Castino
originates from the Holsteiner line 5951, which has produced stallions such as
Calon, Chivas Regal, Moltke I and Quadrigo and numerous successful sport
horses.
