Warendorf/GER: CHACOON BLUE achieves a rare record
Such sire successes are very rare in the history of the Bundeschampionate for young show jumpers. At this year's 44th edition, two daughters of Chacoon Blue Chacoona Cat and Chaqueen took the titles in the six-year-old and seven-year-old classifications. And they did so in an unrivalled manner.
The Hanoverian grey mare Chacqueen, bred by ZG Kruse, was in a class of her own under her rider David Will, both in the two qualifiers and in the round and jump-off of the final.
Chacoona Cat's performance in Warendorf was no less impressive. The Hanoverian Chacoon Blue daughter, who was born in Friedel Cordes' breeding stable, entered the final under the saddle of Sophie Hinners with scores of 8.6 and 8.5 as second and third in the qualifiers. With two super fast clear rounds in the final, she didn't give the competitiors the slightest chance.
Even in the run-up to the Bundeschampionate, the dominance of Chacoon Blue offspring was already apparent, with a large number of them qualifying for the prestigious meeting of Germany's best young horses.
